Tapped. In is NOT a pyramid scheme. Tapped In is a collective of fine (*god-damn gorgeous) artists who believe curation and audience engagement is fundamental to artistic practice. It is a band of painters, sculptors, bandits, super models, small rock enthusiasts, box haters, and well-mannered loonies. Unlikely allies who have come together in the war against displaying sculpture on plinths. To break the rules, you must know the rules. We aspire to always ask, is there a better, more inventive way of achieving the same result? For a gallery should be as creative as its artworks, a place of both reflection and entertainment. Art is adept at talking to itself. Tapped In aims to embrace a general audience, providing an opportunity for all members of society to engage culturally with art that is accessible and relevant. For art should not just be Fine, it should be Fantabulous.

Please be aware that Tapped In will be occupying the Brewery Tap, Folkestone from the 13th to 22nd September. We know this may be alarming to many of you, so we strongly encourage all responsible citizens to attend at their earliest convenience. They have assured us they are fully trained and risk-assessed, but I saw one falling over standing still. In response to the government's branding of Fine Art as a “Mickey Mouse” degree; the exhibition will concern ideas of work, how we perceive art, and the potential of an arts education within, and outside of, economic value. Consisting entirely of work from UCA alumni.
