As an older woman I have sort refuge in the continuity of creativity. I have had a successful design career, however my perceived worth and pertinence has melted away! As an artist I am working out what I want to say and how to say it, but realising that as I gain confidence that I work instinctively. Colour has a huge resonance and work within a limited palette that is quiet and soothing. It allows me to be kind to myself as I draw a line under my old self and learn to grow into my new self. This is exciting and exhausting as I navigate new pathways of visual, verbal and written communication. I’d love to participate in the generosity and openness of this new venture in Folkestone.
