Walking Art by Henrica Langh and David Alderman

This artwork is created and maintained through walking. As you walk along the

predetermined path, a conceptual drawing is created. By walking, you thus become an active participant in giving life to this artwork.

Walking Art aims to encourage observational walking that invites people to engage and connect mindfully with the surrounding area. The aim of the walking artwork is to promote art as something that does not exist exclusively within the artist’s studio and art galleries, while also using art to explore the town from a different perspective.

You can collect your Walking Art map from the Open Art hub at Kollectiv (69 The Old High St.) and do the walk at your own pace at any time of the day. On the map there are 20 points for which you need to find the corresponding number. Each dot on the map will lead you to a small green sign placed in the area and once you have collected all the numbers, you will be able to connect the dots on the map to expose a drawing that is hidden within the map.

Show the finished drawing to the folke at the Open Art hub (69 The Old High St) to receive your very own artwork to keep as a memento.
